 July 2023

OFSTED: Claytons Primary School is a ‘GOOD’ School

We were inspected by Ofsted on 3rd and 4th July 2023. I am delighted to be able to share the official outcome of our inspection, we have been graded as ‘Good’ in all areas.

The report is available here

This was a graded inspection, which means they look in detail at the full Ofsted’s framework. To achieve good in all areas is a fantastic achievement.

Pupils are cared for and well supported at this nurturing village school.

Leaders are passionate about success for all pupils

Teachers have high expectations

During the verbal feedback, from the inspectors, we were found to be extremely strong in all areas.

Leadership and Management, as well as Early Years, were extremely close to being graded outstanding which we are delighted about.

We could not have done this without the continued drive, commitment and unwavering support of all stakeholders of the school.

Claytons is the only primary school in the beautiful Thameside village of Bourne End and occupies an extensive site at Well End. Surrounding the buildings are widespread, delightful grounds and excellent outdoor play  and sports facilities, providing every facility for children in the age range 3 to 11.

The school has a purpose built Nursery catering for children aged between three and four and a dedicated Additional Resource Provision (ARP) which caters for up to 12 children with ASD.

Claytons is fortunate to have a very dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic staff whose aim is to provide all pupils with an education of the highest quality. At the same time we recognise the importance of regarding each pupil as an individual, furnishing them with appropriate stimuli to encourage motivation, challenge and develop independent learning.

All at the school are committed to providing the very best possible education for your child in a caring environment that encourages success and celebrates achievement.
